This design is licensed from an Australian Aboriginal artist and royalties from sales are paid monthly to the artist. The cushion cover is hand embroidered in remote villages in the Kashmir valley using hand dyed wool on a cotton canvas base. This is a traditional Kashmiri handicraft which is called Gabba in the local language. This craft supplements the rural incomes of highly skilled artisans, and is a true cottage industry.
