 Best friends for years, business companions and lovers of all things Scottish, we (Emma and Catherine) arrived in the Scottish Borders 5 years ago and decided to set up home together on the beautiful Floors Castle estate. Two good friends making a home together was reason enough, but we also wanted to create a space where we could share our passions for art and creativity. Catherine is an artist and educator, and Emma is a whizz at making things out of antique linens and other gorgeous fabrics, when she is not being a web designer. We are inspired by our beautiful surroundings and Catherine & Company naturally evolved out of our shared passion for making and sharing beautiful things.
Catherine & Company is in Roxburgh Street, a thriving community of independent stores and coffee shops in the heart of Kelso, itself a beautiful town in the Scottish Borders. You can visit us in store where you will find an enticing array of paintings, prints, cushions, kilims, and other beautiful things, which we have either created ourselves or chosen because we would love them in our home. If Kelso is a bit further than a day’s march for you, many items can be purchased online. Incidentally we chose the word Company not because we are a corporation but because we are drawn to the deeper meaning of companionship.
